Report a possible error
NurseCheck tries to keep every quotation, citation, and verification date accurate. If you find a possible error involving a quotation, citation, effective date, jurisdiction, source URL, rule status, exception, or the way guidance is labelled, email hello@nursecheck.org with the subject line “Correction.”
Please include the page URL, the section number, what you believe is wrong, and a link to the official source you believe is current. Every check page also has a “Report a source error” link that fills in the page for you.
Do not send patient information. Describe the page and the provision, not the patient or the event.
How reports are handled
- The report is classified by severity.
- If the error could mislead a reader about what a provision says, the affected content may be taken down until it is checked.
- The official source is re-read, and the quotation is re-sliced from a fresh fetch where possible.
- The correction is made, recorded in the log below, and the rule’s version history is updated.
- Every other page, result, and data file that quotes the same provision is checked.
