2. Informational service
NurseCheck provides legal and regulatory information for general informational and educational purposes. NurseCheck is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice or legal representation. See the legal disclaimer.
3. No attorney–client relationship
Using NurseCheck does not create an attorney–client relationship. Sending a question, email, or other communication to NurseCheck does not create an attorney–client relationship.
4. Accuracy and completeness
NurseCheck quotes statutory and regulatory text and links to official sources. However: laws change; effective dates can differ; exceptions may apply; official websites can change; court decisions may affect interpretation; agency guidance may change; and relevant law may not be included on a particular page.
NurseCheck does not guarantee that information is complete, current, or applicable to your circumstances.
5. Your responsibility
You are responsible for reviewing the relevant facts, checking the official source, confirming the applicable jurisdiction and effective dates, and obtaining professional legal advice where appropriate.
6. Uses you agree not to make
You agree not to use NurseCheck to:
- submit patient information or confidential medical records;
- circumvent security controls or interfere with the service;
- scrape the service in a way that degrades it for others;
- impersonate another person; or
- carry out any activity that breaks the law.
7. Intellectual property
Except where otherwise stated, NurseCheck’s software, design, original databases, editorial organization, branding, and original content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Government legal texts may be subject to different rules. NurseCheck claims no copyright in statutory or regulatory text. See Legal notices before reproducing material.
8. Third-party links
NurseCheck links to government websites and may link to other third-party websites. NurseCheck does not control those websites and is not responsible for their content, privacy practices, availability, or policies.
9. Lawyer directory, affiliate links, and licensed copies
A lawyer or law-firm directory listing, if any, is not an endorsement, recommendation, certification, or guarantee by NurseCheck. Paid listings are labelled. Evaluate any attorney independently.
If NurseCheck ever carries affiliate links, NurseCheck may receive a commission on qualifying purchases. Affiliate relationships do not determine NurseCheck’s legal content.
White-label or enterprise licensees receive only the rights expressly granted in their agreement. A licensed deployment does not turn NurseCheck information into legal advice or a compliance certification.

10. Disclaimer of warranties
To the extent permitted by law, NurseCheck is provided “as is” and “as available.” NurseCheck does not warrant that the service will always be available, that all information is current, that every relevant law is included, that every citation is error-free, or that the service is suitable for a particular legal matter.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NurseCheck and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify NurseCheck and its operators against claims arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these Terms.
13. Changes
NurseCheck may modify these Terms. Material changes are reflected by updating the effective date at the top of this page.
14. Governing law
Not yet published: the governing law and venue will be added here after review by U.S. counsel.
