Affiliate disclosure
NurseCheck does not currently participate in affiliate programs. If it does, pages carrying affiliate links will say so next to the link, NurseCheck may receive a commission on qualifying purchases, and affiliate content will be visually separated from legal content.
Affiliate relationships do not increase the price you pay unless stated and do not determine the legal or regulatory information presented. NurseCheck does not accept compensation in exchange for changing the substance of legal information.
Lawyer directory disclosure
NurseCheck may publish a directory of attorneys and law firms. A listing:
- is not legal advice and does not create an attorney–client relationship;
- is not a guarantee of results;
- is not an endorsement or referral by NurseCheck;
- does not mean the attorney is the best choice for a particular matter.
Paid or sponsored listings are labelled “Sponsored” next to the entry. No listing is described as “best,” “top,” or “NurseCheck approved.” Listings never appear inside a check’s result. Each firm is responsible for its own licensing and for complying with lawyer-advertising rules in its jurisdiction.
Before contacting an attorney, verify licensing, jurisdiction, practice area, fees, availability, conflicts, and suitability for your matter.
Advertising and sponsorship
NurseCheck carries no advertising and no sponsored content. Paid placement will never be presented as editorial content or placed inside a check’s result.
AI use notice
No NurseCheck page sends what you enter to an AI model. Check results are produced by fixed rules published with each page, applied in your browser to the answers you select.
Automated tools, which may include AI, can assist the editor in drafting explanations and cross-checking citations. Statutory and regulatory quotations are taken from files fetched from the official source and checked against them by script; AI output is never published as statutory text, and AI does not decide whether a law has changed, what its effective date is, or whether guidance counts as law.
If NurseCheck adds an AI-powered feature, it will cite the official source it relies on, show a verification date, and refuse to state whether a particular party has violated the law. Do not enter patient information, medical records, confidential employer information, passwords, or other secrets into any NurseCheck feature.
Do not submit patient information
NurseCheck is not intended for patient information. Do not enter or send:
- patient names, medical record numbers, or dates of birth;
- diagnoses, clinical notes, or treatment information;
- insurance identifiers;
- photographs or documents containing patient information;
- any other protected or confidential patient information.
The checks ask only multiple-choice questions and evaluate your answers in your browser. If you email us, describe the page and the provision instead of the patient or the event. NurseCheck does not act as a HIPAA covered entity or business associate for anyone.
White-label and licensed copies
Licensed copies keep the same rules as this site: verbatim text with official links and verification dates, disclaimers preserved, no verdicts about anyone’s facts, and no patient data collection. A licensed copy does not certify that any facility meets a legal requirement, and licensees may not market it that way.
